Montgomery Indoor Shooting Complex

Stopped in on my lunch break to sight in a PCC for a competition I’m shooting in tomorrow. Frank and his entire staff were friendly and accommodating. On top of that, since I love a good challenge, I tried my hand at their 10 round challenge (10 rounds on a target at 50ft for a chance to win a new Glock). I came so close to the score I wanted that I had to try my luck a second and third time. If you’re in the Montgomery area, I’d highly recommend checking out this gem of an indoor range!

We were in town for the day and had never shot a gun before. I wish we could have stayed the entire day, because it was awesome. The staff explained to us how the guns worked and I shot a variety of large guns. Super fun time!

I don't really get it either.
What do they mean by double tap in the gun range and rapid fire?
Double tap means to fire two shots in rapid secession at a target. The goal is to put these shots as close to on target as possible. The idea is that putting two bullets on target will increase the likelihood that the person you are shooting will not continue to be a threat.
Rapid fire is just what it sounds like. Firing a gun as rapidly as possible, while still maintaining accuracy. It’s good to have this skill because if you find yourself being attacked, putting as many holes in someone, as fast as possible, is the best way to insure that the attacker has the the least chance of harming you.
Both these techniques are a lot more difficult that firing a single round on target.
The gun has recoil which pulls the sights off your aim point. Each following shot tends to be higher than the next. With practice, you can learn to time your shots to match when the gun falls back into alignment with the target.

The staff are extraordinary. They Very clear with suggestions and guidance during entire time I spent there. Thankful to that person who thought me to use the gun professionally. Really a great experience.

The appearance of the range from the outside may not be the most impressive but it's what's inside that counts. It's a little hidden in a half empty business loop off Carmichael but the range offers a great service to the city. I have tried out many of their large gun selection and picked their brain on occasion. I would like to get some friends together to try their paintball field as well. They have everything you need to shoot or you can bring your own items as long as you follow their rules. The only thing is that ammo is expensive so it can become a very expensive hour if you're buying their brass.
