Oak Mountain State Park

The best state park in all of the US! The trails are great, swimming in the lake, the demonstration farm where you can feed and pet animals, and a wonderful campground. I would suggest going in the fall when the weather is nice and the leaves are changing colors. So glad we stopped here on our way across country.

Very long winding road to get to Peavine falls. But a beautiful mountain top view once you get there. Very steep hiking trail..me and my younger daughter did not attempt to go down. Very large park! We went to the sand/boat area which had picnic tables where you can sit & watch the geese. We also went to Tree top Reserve...very cool! Great experience ?

We had a great time. There’s lots to do. With three young girls, they had a blast. We had a picnic on the lake, then went to the petting farm. The animals are nice but the goats get aggressive a little if you feed them. The food does cost a dollar. We also hiked the tree top trail to the wildlife center. It was very short and easy.

Awesome state park with many activities, but the price for an annual pass is ridiculous in my opinion.
