My son has a new diagnosis of autism (high functioning), and they have been very helpful with helping him through his separation anxiety and speech delay. They personally directed us in the right direction for his speech, and have went out of their way to comfort him when he has a break down. Their reassurance has helped me tremendously. “My son is in the 7th grade now but I loved when he was in the intermediate school. They were really good to him. He had no learning difficulties and he had no behavioral problems but he seemed to always get the one-on-one attention he wanted when he needed to get some extra help. I'm glad that he's been in the Helena School district since first grade. He was in adamsville before for kindergarten and he was the smartest kid in the class and broke his leg and didn't go to school for 3 months and still was smarter than all the other kids and passed without any extra work to be done and then he started first grade at Helena and we realized how far behind he had become in Jefferson County schools. I pray my child never has to go to Jefferson County schools. Shelby County is my home I went to Vincent high School and no it's not the best school but I got a better education than my husband did in Jefferson County.”

“I have two grand children at Thompson. The staff takes a no nonsense approach to trouble makers and bullies. There are numerous activities, but baggy pants, disrespect, smoking, drugs have a 0 tolerance level here. The good students are encouraged to participate and accelerate their learning rate. I read the other reviews, and it seems they can hardly spell or write. No wonder, they are the kind of kids who just don't care about school. Thompson is a great school, but don't send your bad kid there, they won't make it. PS> Respect and education begins at home. My grand children are straight A. students and participate in many activities afforded at Thompson. They are Christian, law abiding, and respectful and are treated that way at school by their teachers.”

“I visited several day cares when we were making our decision, and Dayspring was the best by far. We have never regretted our decision! Our son was 18 months old when he started, so it was a difficult transition for both of us, but the teachers really made him feel comfortable. He is now 2 and knows his teachers and friends by name and is excited to go every day! He already knows his ABC's and can count to 13. He knows colors, shapes, and letters. They have water play during the summer once a week that he absolutely adores. When it came time to put my second son in day care at 12 weeks old, it was an easy decision to send him to Dayspring. They accommodated him on short notice when my other arrangements fell through. He was not doing well with his bottle, but they worked with him happily and lovingly. He now loved going to daycare every day and recognizes his teachers' faces. They really get to know each child and their unique personalities and needs, and nurture and care for each one with love and respect. I would not put my children anywhere else!”
