“Four stars for our stay and only because of the beds being so hard to sleep on. This little hotel is CLEAN, and service is off the charts but the beds are very hard to sleep on and that is the only thing that keeps it from being 5 stars. The owner is awesome and goes out of his way to be helpful. If he will update the beds in the motel it would be a BIG WIN for his business.”

“Had a great off season stay here. Sites are close together and there are a LOT of sites. Empty all around our water front site mid-week late fall. Restrooms very clean and well maintained. Picnic tables weathered, glad we brought a tablecloth. Water very low. We were able to launch our kayaks from near our site. Great part of Lake Martin for paddling as narrower with coves.”

She took her time enough to explain to me the differences between moisture and protein shampoos which I found very interesting because I never knew there was a difference but there is. I have been over moisturizering my year for way too long. Moisture shampoos have been weighing down my hair so now that I know the difference I will be using protein shampoos more. For those of you who have fine hair as myself you want to make sure you are using the right shampoo. Protein shampoo will appear as clear as water and will leave your hair with lots of volume unlike moisture shampoo will cause your hair to be weighted down and possibly could loose more hair than one needs. Moisture shampoo with not be clear as water because it contains more than protein and will be cloudy in color. Therefore keep this in mind next time you are shopping for your next bottle of shampoo. And I'm sure if you are uncertain to what shampoo is BEST for your hair stop into SmartStyles and they would be very HELPFUL!”

“Terrific barbecue joint! The pork is tender and juicy and with the mixed sauce adds a little kick. My onion rings were amazingly light for being fried; crispy on the outside and tender inside. The baked beans were sweet and accented with onions. A pickle on the side added some acidity to cut the sweetness. Add white bread and a Coke for a fantastic meal. As a side note I wore a mask in and laid it on the table while I ate. A couple hours later I put the mask on to walk into my office and it smelled a tad like smoke and a lot like bbq. That's a sign this place is doing it right!”
