“The elders are old school! My generation was the last to be born and come of age in the 20th Century. As a result we came into existence of multiple generations. The "Hippies" we're our parents. Our Aunts and Uncles were Vietnam Veterans and our Grandparents were WW2 Survivors and children of sharecroppets and first generation emacipated descendendants of slaves and immigrant families. We all of course had Native American ideology and DNA famial background history (live off the land w/out government assistance if land and natural resources was made available to do so bc God would and does supply our every need). This mix blood/ multiple generational blessing created mixed up ideologies. This ideology is what causes me to love this church and it's elders! I can rely on them to keep the doors open, a preacher in the pulpit and someone who knows my name even if I have been M.I.A. for a while. In this church God is worshipped and through his blessings and strength my elders hold down the fort while the younger generations interact/grow/clash/fight/return wounded from the battle feild called "life". If I am blessed/privaledged enough I hope one day I am a elder who makes sure no matter what the war/pandemic/life phase the youth are engaged in they know on Sunday and Wednesday their is a safe place/space/ word that they can retreat too and rest and rehabilitate while they lick their physical/emotional/and spiritual wounds so they can heal to awaken and face another day in their journey called life. This is why I love my home church! I give God all the glory and gratitude but it is my elders and their steadfast belief in the bible and our traditions/beliefs that keep me a member and coming back when I need a safe place to relax and trust the old ways and most important God and his son Jesus Christ! are real! This is my home church and my place of worship! I love this church through thick and thin don't judge it just concentrate on God and the traditional hymns! If you do you will end your day rested, relaxed and spirituality renewed! You will awaken the next day prepared to do what is necessary to preserve our country, yourself, our beliefs, our community, our families and traditions and by doing the acts of preservation you prove the existence and eternal power of our Father God in heaven and his son Jesus Christ! How I must ask can anyone ask anything else of a place of worship? This is my home church and I give it all the stars the internet can offer!”
