She took her time enough to explain to me the differences between moisture and protein shampoos which I found very interesting because I never knew there was a difference but there is. I have been over moisturizering my year for way too long. Moisture shampoos have been weighing down my hair so now that I know the difference I will be using protein shampoos more. For those of you who have fine hair as myself you want to make sure you are using the right shampoo. Protein shampoo will appear as clear as water and will leave your hair with lots of volume unlike moisture shampoo will cause your hair to be weighted down and possibly could loose more hair than one needs. Moisture shampoo with not be clear as water because it contains more than protein and will be cloudy in color. Therefore keep this in mind next time you are shopping for your next bottle of shampoo. “I love Lifeline Children’s Services! We began our adoption journey in 2013, and brought our daughter home in 2017. We additionally have begun the process to adopt again, two different times in two different countries. We have had a LOT of interactions with team members in that time, and what I can say has marked them as “special” in my books is both their commitment to integrity and their sincerest desire to advocate for the well-being of children. Lifeline cares deeply about my family, but also maintains that their first priority is the vulnerable child without a home. I didn’t fully understand the importance of that prioritization before adopting; now, I can absolutely support that it should never be any other way. I am so grateful for their commitment to advocating for the family-less, and the love demonstrated to my family by walking us through such a difficult process. Additionally, I once had an abrasive encounter with a staff member that became disruptive and unsettling. I then received an unsolicited phone call from a senior leadership member who had smelled a whiff of the situation and wanted to immediately nip it in the bud, by gently offering to step in. What I saw by Lifeline’s leadership in the way of demonstrable, respectful conflict resolution has forever affected me. No one is perfect, and everyone has poor moments - I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to see the heart behind Lifeline amidst strife. I respect them as an agency because I have witnessed them walking out what they profess, and I adore them as people because they have loved my family through the gift of adoption. “I am an IV heroin user who was on methadone maintenance on and off for years. I detoxed off methadone but shortly after started using again but this time I stated banging heroin instead of just snorting pills like before. I hope this place can help me. I've recently gotten into some trouble with the law and I hope if I agree to come here the judge will let me. I have friends who have been thru the program and successfully gotten off drugs. I smoke pot too, so it's going to be hard to become 100% clean. I want to do bad, most people don't even know I use, not even close friends and family.”
