I will always get my shoes, boots and purses repaired here. There have been many times I thought my shoes wouldn't be salvageable and he did an awesome job. I don't know why you would need to make a personal connection with a shoe repair guy. I also don't know why you'd need a "rush" on a repair. Everyone has plenty of shoes to last a week. I'm busy. I like being able to get in and out quickly. If you need to be coddled by your shoe repair guy, go somewhere else. He has never been rude to me. I don't care how much English he speaks or that I have to pay with cash. Big deal! If you want a great job done along with a smile and a thank you, go to Fireweed Shoe repair.
He always does a great job on my boots. has been kinda grumpy in the past but lately has a very friendly attitude. Yes it takes awhile but I would recommend him, as the quality of his work is top notch
