We stayed 3 nights and it was perfectly located for our side trips to Kenai Peninsula, Seward and Whittier. We were in a group of 3 women and our room accommodated us perfectly.
Booking and check-in was super easy and the hotel owner is beyond amazing. Today, I asked if I could freeze my ice packs anywhere so I could keep my meds cool for tomorrow's drive. He EXCHANGED the fridge in our room to bring one with a freezer compartment. He had to carry these fridges up and down the stairs!!! What an unexpected kindness and customer service. We were blown away.
It is my first time in Alaska and the people are just awesome. Friendly, kind, helpful.
If I get to come back, this hotel will definitely be on my itinerary.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your exceptional support.
We had a small kitchenette in the room which was awesome to fix some healthy meals on our 5 week road trip. Outside was a big table where we could eat comfortably while watching the sun set. With two windows in the room we were able to keep a nice breeze over night, never needing an AC. The room was clean and everything worked well.
I would highly recommend the Alpine Inn in Cooper Landing!
Good location and good beds and friendly service, competitive rates. Only complaint was that the fridge was not working and had water leaking so I assume it recently failed and the freezer melted. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt that the rest of the rooms had working fridges. I would recommend this place to anyone road tripping around copper landing and Seward.
While this motel is a little weathered, and we booked our vacation with little time to plan, we were glad to find the Alpine Inn with a vacancy for our family. The room was tight with a single bed, a double bed and a roll away, but it had a small kitchenette and was just what we needed for a good night sleep. There is a bit of a cleaning product smell, but we did not find it offensive, overwhelming, nor did it detract from our experience staying at the Alpine Inn. The manager was accommodating, it was nice to be able to pick out some DVD movies to watch (with so much streaming these days it was kinda fun), and he opened his lobby in the evening to check us in and let us buy a few sweatshirts. While there are no amenities to offer here, it's about laying your head down to sleep and getting a shower if you need it as well as being able to warm up some food if you need. The grocery store right next door was very convenient. And, so many other things - restaurants, fishing, rafting, hiking etc. are also very convenient.
Great service and location! We fished the Russian River and it's only 5-10 minutes from here. The owner was very nice to work around our schedule. Rooms are fairly basic but what else do you need in Alaska?
