Reavis Ranch Trailhead

Beautiful 10/10 🍎❤🍏💚

It wasn't clear to me from reviews if the trailhead was accessible from the north coming down from Roosevelt Lake so we drove that way to find out since Google Maps said the road was open as of November 21, 2021. Turns out the road is closed to vehicles beyond Apache Lake Vista and the turn off to Apache Lake Marina and Resort. We decided to park at Apache Lake Vista and hike a wash and do some off-trail scrambling to get up to the trailhead which added about a mile and 1000 ft gain to the beginning of the trip. The trail itself was a bit overgrown presumably from the lack of traffic (pants are recommended to push through all the grass and a few bushes). I'd recommend a GPS map to make sure you can find your way across Windy Pass Other than that, it was easy to stay on the trail. There were small sections of good running water to filter at the ranch and some areas of stagnate water.

Easily my favorite hike in Arizona! So scenic and not that much traffic, which is great for those who are looking for serenity when in nature.
