We moved from San Francisco to Chandler and were so lucky to find Jonas through a referral service. We could not have been in better hands than we were with Jonas and his team. He actually listened to our wants, needs and how much we wanted to spend. Jonas never tried to upsell us and gave us his honest opinion and feedback on properties, which helped us steer clear of a home we thought we loved. Jonas researched every property we wanted to look at when we'd fly out from SF. He was able to speak on everything and answer questions, he wasn't there to simply open the door as so many of his colleagues do.
We found our home and were ready to make an offer, Jonas said no, we can do better and he made a lower offer, which the seller accepted. That cut into his company's commission but Jonas didn't care, he cared about us. How awesome is that?!?
My husband and I are from Washington State. We have been discussing a transition to Arizona for years as his retirement approached. Although the overall idea was exciting, the decision-making process and ultimately the “to-do” list and tasks involved as we came closer to that date began to feel a bit overwhelming. Who do we connect with? Who can we finance through? Who would take care of our new property if we decide to rent it out for part of the year? Which town do we want to live in? What community/area fulfills our needs/wants/lifestyle? Where would we go to seek medical assistance… go to eat out… go for entertainment…go for groceries? About how much are utility expenses out there? What else should we consider? Are we missing something?
That being said, we are not new to working with realtors, but we are definitely new to Arizona and the idiosyncrasies of Arizona real estate, so we recognized how important it was to find the right group.
In addition, being several states away it can be quite un-nerving to put your trust (& ultimately your money) in people who you have never met until the decision-making was well under-way. So we really felt that finding a good team to work with was the key in our Arizona real estate pursuit. We really needed someone who knew their way around this business… someone who would also be direct with us (as our time visiting Arizona was limited), and someone who would actually answer the phone when we called (or at least text back & let us know that they would call right back!)!!
Luckily, we found our needs met in the Phoenix Relocation Team and we also learned very quickly that we could rely on them, and specifically Jonas [Funston], to demonstrate reliability and integrity, to be well-informed and experienced, and display efficiency time and time again.
After meeting and working with Jonas long-distance and then in person with Jonas, Taylor, and Brian for less than one week viewing multiple listings, we returned home to Washington, having not yet found the exact property, but we did feel heard and felt that the team understood what we were looking for! Amazingly so, Jonas contacted us immediately after we returned home and said “I’ve found the place”. He was right. Believe it or not, we trust Jonas and his team so much that we purchased that exact property sight unseen!!! Both my husband and I thought we would NEVER be the people to EVER do something like that, but when you have that amount of faith in a team… yes, you can!
