Our family loves Dr Falsey. Highly recommend.
Our entire family sees Dr Falsey. He is the kindest, most intelligent doctor we have ever met. We enjoy seeing him for skin checks. He has removed a few skin cancers and is an incredible surgeon. He is up to date on the latest in dermatology. Not to mention he has a great personality and is a joy to converse with. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for the best dermatologist in the valley.
Thank you for contacting me, Dr. Falsey, to explain other options available. My experience with you was top notch, so please understand my negative rating was for the wait time...not with you. I would give you 55 stars if I could. Thanks again and I appreciate your time and talents!
I don't typically write reviews (who has the time!) but I have to say something about East Valley Dermatology Center. I feel it is rare to have such a good experience at a doctor's office these days thus my inspiration for this review. I was also at another dermatology office recently with a less than stellar outcome, especially since they didn't fix my problem (a bad rash on my face that would go away for months). Easy check-in process...I filled out the online forms before the office visit and within a few minutes was checked in. They have several employees taking patients at the front window (I have never see an so many check in windows at a doctors office) and a nice team working hard behind them processing everything. Everyone was very pleasant and kind at the front. Within a minute of checking in I was called back to my exam room. Keep in mind this was several minutes before my appointment was even scheduled...this has never happened in my life of going to a doctor's office! The nurse asked me about my visit and I described my concerns. She left and within a minute and Dr. Falsey came into the room. This was a few minutes before my appointment time actually started. This doctor was amazing. He very kindly introduced himself with a smile and asked my about my work, kids and he sat down next to me (most doctors just seem to stand near the door, ready to leave at any moment). Together we reviewed the information his nurse had collected and the other information in my chart. He asked me several questions about my rash and within a few minutes he already had a diagnosis and treatment plan. Dr. Falsey spent several minutes describing the rash, what causes it and how to treat it and even gave me a handout about the condition. Like any good patient I had a few other questions about sunscreen and skin care also. Dr. Falsey didn't skip a beat, answering my questions and providing a few more handouts as I am guessing these questions come up frequently in a dermatology office. At the end of the visit, he even asked me if I had any other questions, concerns, or skin problems that he could address. My last dermatologist just looked at me for a few seconds, rattled off some treatments to the nurse and basically left the room. After the visit with Dr. Falsey, I was even able to pick up medications at the office as they have a small "pharmacy" in the clinic. I have never seen this in a doctor's office and it is very nice not having to stop at my Walgreens to get my medications. Fast forward a few weeks and my rash is gone, after months of suffering with it.
If I could post one negative to try and be fair and balanced, it would be the wait time for an appointment. To be fair, I could have seen a PA or nurse in a few days but wanted to see a doctor give my battles with this rash and it seems the MDs at the practice are booked out anywhere from a few weeks to several months. Dr. Falsey did say he had emergency slots available same day or next day in most circumstances for urgent matters and I can't say that my condition was urgent, just really annoying. Now, I figure a longer wait time for the docs is a good thing, it means the doctors are good and people want to see them.
So, I highly recommend east valley dermatology center and Dr. Falsey. I will be back if any other skin problems arise in the future.
