Essence Medical Center- Dr. Paula Lima, NMD

Dr. Lima is a caring and knowledgeable naturopathic doctor. She takes her time with you to understand your current health conditions. I love that she practices preventative care but is also there for me if I get sick and need specific care to heal. She’s very easy to communicate with and shows her patients compassion.

Dr. Paula is a excellent doctor with a very kind and compassionate bedside manner. She takes the time to listen and asks the right questions in order to apply her knowledge to help her patient. When I first went to see Dr. Paula, I felt extremely tired, physically and mentally sluggish, irritable, and was not able to sleep. She was able to help me tremendously through her knowledge of bio-identical hormone therapy as well as other supplements. I truly feel like a different person. I would highly recommend Dr. Paula!

The food is delicious with great prices. Better yet, the owners are always there, very friendly, always with the smiling faces I've come to look forward to seeing during each visit. They become your friends... If you've never met them, you're missing out.

Dr Lima Has been seeing me for about a year now she is very extraordinary person and she listens and cares about my issues I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s and a back injury. Dr Lima has been working diligently to help me with my thyroid through diet and natural medications. And every time I have blood work done she is always there to go over it with me and help me understand what needs to be done. she has also done acupuncture and cupping on my back. I would highly recommend her to any of my friends or family members.

Dr. Paula Lima is amazing! She is very knowledgeable, caring and friendly. She has done treatment (Hydrotherapy, Cupping, Acupuncture and Adjustments) on my husband several times for his back problems, she has also done acupuncture on my son after hurting his neck. Dr. Lima has reviewed lab results with me and helped me to understand what it all meant. She takes time and listens to your concerns and finds the right treatment for you as an individual. I have trusted her and would highly recommend her to anyone!

I drive by this place everyday on my way home from work as a short cut to get on the WB Expressway. Was tired and thirsty, needed caffeine asap. Decided to stop in for a quick fill up. Store is tiny but hey I only wanted some caffeine. Ended up seeing someone order a shrimp poboy. So what the heck...I was SHOCKED at how GOOD and HUGE it was for the price...considering it's a little store in the middle of nowhere. Will definately come back during the lent season.
