Four Peaks Wilderness Area is a great place to visit. It is a very open space mostly just with a large parking lot and desert as far as the eye can see. You can bring off roading vehicles and continue on the path to explore the wilderness if Arizona. There are many spots to stop to park in and the views at sunset are remarkable as you can see in the photo. The view is the four peaks is beautiful too.
Nice short getaway, for off road fun. Easy to moderate trails. 4wd & high clearance vehicle needed. You will come across OHV (ATVs, dirt bikes, etc.)
If your looking for a nice long trail to go for a side by side ride or any off road riding. This is a great place to go. You can get great views of Four Peaks and Sahuaro lake. There are a few trails that lead to the beach areas on the back of the lake for lunch or just a cool down spots for a nice adult beverage. You can choose how extreme your ride will be depending on your experience or comfort level. Roads are labeled with FR #'s and easy to navigate even for a novice rider. We have taken a few group rides here with different types of vehicles. Enjoy your ride, be safe( this is Arizona), and be curious to other drivers! (You never know when you might need there help)!!
Always an awesome place to go, so beautiful, four wheeling down to the coves, kayaking, floating on rafts. It was a beautiful day ☺️
Amazing... I took a stock 2020 Jeep Galdiator through the 27.1 mile mountain trail from 87 to 188. The scenery was epic. There are a few tight switchbacks on the last 5 or so miles but overall this is an easy trail to gain confidence off road. I have over 3000 miles of offroad experience and in my opinion this trail is the reason why I love doing it. Go during the week as it gets busy and crowded during the weekend.

1 review of Four Peaks Summit "I previously thought Flat Iron was the toughest hike with the best views in the Valley. I was wrong. I've hiked Flat Iron 5 times, and Four Peaks blew Flat Iron away with views as well as difficulty. Let's start with the drive there. The last 20 miles are on a stretch of graded dirt/rock, which took 1h25m to travel, most of which came in the last 18 miles.
