(October 30, 2020, 7:11 pm)Great place to drive down and take family pictures! We also started going down the river here, don't go once October hits because it gets really low, but great place if you want to calmer river experience.
(September 20, 2020, 12:54 pm)This is one of the better areas on the lower Salt River. It's large and has both fast and slow water. It also has some nice rock like islands to climb and jump from.
(September 20, 2020, 1:48 am)Go during the week. I will repeat, go during the week. If you ignore that warning, you will not have a good time because it will be overcrowded. This is better than Pebble Beach recreation area, there is a natural pool that is only a few feet deep and a main channel that is fun to swim in. The current can be quite strong at times in the main channel, so be careful. Pets are welcome. Lots of tubing and paddle boarding happening here.

(August 4, 2020, 1:16 am)I can't believe my family visited this location on labor day weekend 2018. It's one of the busiest days for recreation. However, I was surprised that it wasn't a pain to access the site due to heavy traffic. Yes, this location on the river had a lot of people. But I never felt 'squished'. My family showed up late, yet we found a little spot to set up camp. Most people were we'll behave and having a good time. There's restrooms on site. The river has shallow and deep places so it can accommodate the swimming skill of beginners and season swimmers.
