They have the best music department in the State, and their annual jazz Festival in April attracts great professional jazz musicians and the surrounding community, whether they are related to a student or not, can come and attend. There may be a ticket fee, but it's quite reasonable and supports the music program. Some of the concerts played by the students are equal to a high priced concert of professional orchestras. Kudos to the entire music department at Highland High! They just get better every year!
