Women's Health Innovations of AZ saved me. I was suffering from post partum depression, anxiety, and PTSD after having my second child. I was embarrassed and ashamed of how I was feeling, but the ladies at Women's Health Innovations made me feel welcome and safe. i learned that I wasn't alone, and PPD and anxiety is more common than I thought.

I started started coaching with Christina. Coaching options are great because they are moms that experienced PPD and anxiety and relate to you, your feelings, and your situations. After a few weeks with my coach, I decided to start one-on-one therapy with Maria Ward to further deal with my PTSD and PPD/anxiety. I immediately connected with her! I felt safe and built a great working relationship with her. She helped me to learn and understand how to deal with my depression and anxiety. We worked through some of my very deep issues and PTSD through EMDR. She has completely changed my life! I wouldn't be where I am without her!

If you are suffering from PPD and/or anxiety, please call WHI. You won't regret it. You are not alone!

I have been working with Maria for the past few months. She has been absolutely wonderful. My first session she provided me with several "tools" to manage my anxiety including a fabulous guided meditation app, a sleep app as well as breathing and tapping exercises. The combination of these has helped tremendously! We are now working through my lifeline and moving into EMDR, which I am really excited about. I look forward to my session with Maria each week. You have to put in the work each week to get the most out of your session, but if you do it, it is so worth it. My quality of life has improved significantly already. I am so thankful for Maria for not only her support, but teaching of life skills to help me for a lifetime. Thank you so much WHI. I am beyond thankful for all you do!

I I know this is a mushy review, but I hope it encourages just one woman who is reading it that there is help on your mental health journey when you feel you’re all alone. And calling the gals at WHI is the best first step you can take for yourself and the people you love.
If I could, I would give every woman the gift of support around mental health. I think a lot of women feel shame around seeking help for postpartum depression and anxiety - I definitely did. I started with their group meetings and then used one on one therapy. I learned that postpartum depression and anxiety are much more common than I even realized. I was able to find an actual community of ladies that were all in my same boat. I feel so much less alone. I also feel really hopeful. This was the most impactful thing I gained from this company - HOPE. I’m a better spouse, mother, daughter, and friend because I’m making progress in finding joy in the day to day - when I wasn’t able to see it before.

The therapists are all wonderful. Seeing Maria has helped me make pivotal changes in my life that I was unable to achieve with any other therapist before. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. I recommend this practice to my family, friends, and patients!

Maria Ward quite literally saved my life.

I have been a patient of Maria's since April 2020. I was referred to Women's Health Innovations by a fellow fertility warrior who had also experienced loss herself. I was being seen due to the traumatic loss of my IVF twin babies in March.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Maria. I felt welcomed and most importantly, I felt as though she had my best interest in mind. The first time we met she knew I needed help and immediately sprung into action - it was the first time any person has been there to get me the immediate help I needed. I left our session that day being able to take a deep breath and knew that she is going to help me save myself. Upon meeting with her she made it clear how available she is and made me feel comfortable having that line to reach out to if anything needed to be addressed. She has been true to her word and has been there for me during those times.

Despite the mental anguish I was in, she focused on my strengths. She helped me find peace early on by creating a mental ’safe place’ from those strengths and showed me how to draw from them when I felt like I was in need. I put to use the tools she provided me with and those have had a huge impact on my mental health. Through conversation, she took time to get to know me as a human and developed a treatment plan that was personalized to me. My treatment consisted of many different things, but included EMDR therapy that I saw immediate success with (I was seen 2x a week for a while and just cut back to 1x a week) and attribute that to her ability to ask the right questions, and dig deep when it really mattered. I cannot tell you how much better you can feel when someone is actively listening to you and rooting for you to succeed.

It is late July now and I am confident that I wouldn’t be as strong as I am right now if it was not for Maria. She is the most caring and kind individual I have met. I trust her as a professional and believe in her ability to help me. I hope every woman going through loss/infertility (and anything else of course) gets to meet with Maria.

Please come to Women’s Health Innovations and see Maria Ward! Remember that you have to put the work in as well and cannot expect other people to solve your problems for you without being an active part of treatment. That is my perspective and what worked for me. I hope you do the same!
