Cheryl H and Chris S are nothing short of amazing. I graduated from IOP back in September and I couldn’t have done it without them. They truly care about their clients and give 100% of their efforts to make sure everyone under their care succeeds. I’m 4.5 months sober and absolutely beyond grateful for these two for giving me another chance at a healthy and happy life.

I would highly recommend Burkwood, especially their IOP program. I have been sober for roughly a year and a half after in patient and completing IOP with Cheryl. I tell anyone who asks for help, or about my experience, that she saved my life. I’d been through Hazelden’s 28 day program in 2007. I left without any of the tools I needed, but stayed sober for 6 years by some miracle, but ultimately relapsed. This isn’t a treatment center complete with a swimming pool, equine therapy, meditation studio and private chef. It’s a place to get well if you are willing to do the work. Burkwood gave me valuable insight into my alcoholism and taught me how to change behaviors that changed my life. I’m grateful for all of their support and care.

Burkwood is a fabulous MI/CD facility that offers cutting edge services for people in recovery addressing PAWS, mental health, and incorporating the 12 steps. The facilities are cozy and spacious, and the staff are friendly and passionate about the work that they do. As a provider in the field, I love referring clients to programs that I know will be able to effectively meet their needs and Burkwood is always at the top of my list!

Just finished with my first visit with Dr. Madden and all I can is say, "Wow!" If you want to see a doctor, a REAL DOCTOR, go see him! He LISTENS, he EXPLAINS. He takes time with you and has excellent bedside manner. I haven't had a doctor give me more than 2 minutes of attention in years. He's working with me. Stop selling yourself short and going to urgent care, go see this guy. It is important to note that he doesn't work directly with insurance companies, but don't let that scare you off. Pay the cash, or as I did, use your HSA, and then file the claim with your insurance company yourself. Trust me, it'll probably come out cheaper in the end any way. It is SO NICE to have a REAL family doctor again.

This doctor really cares about his patients. His old school which is good, he focuses on cause of your problem not just perscribing medication.
