The Hop Stop Diner

The food was good and the owner was very friendly and made you feel welcome!Stopped in during a much less busier time. So far it seems the hot dog is the best thing we've had on the menu, however, this time the onion rings were overcooked & the grilled chicken on the salad we ordered was very dry.

Just swung by and found out the Hop Stop Diner in downtown Glendale had closed. I am really disappointed as I quite enjoyed their sandwiches and had a lot of memories around the place. My favorites—that I had tried so far—were the turkey avocado and the triple grilled cheese. The Elvis—grilled peanut butter and Nutella—was also an interesting indulgence. It was a beloved spot to grab a bite to eat with my father when we came for downtown adventures. I enjoyed coming with other family and friends as well. I will miss this place! Thank you, and I wish the best to the employees and owners.

Love this place. Great home cooked food and low prices. The pancake is as big as the huge plate.

My fiance and I love coming here. We are always pleased with the staff and the service we receive. The food is always fresh and delicious, there isn't an item we tried that we haven't liked. (That says a lot since I am really picky). It has the atmosphere of an old school diner from the decor to the music. The place is just awesome. I recommend it to everyone I can.

This is an old school diner. I had a Turkey burger and tortilla soup and both were excellent. Fries were got and crisp too. Took home cookies and had a coffee to go and again both were excellent. I loved the feel of the place, like the diner when I was a kid in Chicago. The lady that served us was friendly and nice, she did it all, waited tables and worked the register for walk ups and take outs. She was great.
