We had such an amazing experience at Agua Fria Animal Hospital this past weekend. Our dog woke up and had taken a major turn for the worse and as the day progressed he didn’t improve at all so we called Agua Fria and they said they could get us in that same day at 5 pm so we took him in. This was a Friday evening and after taking the time to thoroughly exam buddy (way more detailed than another vet we had taken him to recently) and answering all of our questions and talking through our concerns etc etc. We made the difficult decision to say goodbye to our beloved Buddy. It was 730 pm on a Friday (an hour and a half after closing time) before we left and they were all so gracious about staying late for us. I feel Dr Duston and his team went above and beyond and were so understanding. We so appreciate the care we received and recommend if you’re in need of their services to give them a chance to treat you and your pets as well as they did us.
Was there yesterday with my parents to put our dog down who was very sick with cancer. The entire staff was absolutely wonderful, very caring and helped us through a very difficult moment. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for allowing us to love on him as he passed. The Runyon family.
This is not our "normal" vet, however, when our German Shepherd was showing signs of needing immediate care, our vet couldn't get her in... this place offers "drop off" appointment where they worked her in between their scheduled appointments... they called every step to get prior approval for treatment plan with cost up front... Brandon was unbelievably kind to me when I unfortunately had to say goodbye to our girl later that day...
My dog was having a seizure or heart attack. My father and I rushed him to get help. We arrived at another animal hospital at 83rd and Lower Buckeye rd. They just wanted to do some blood tests. My father and I where trying to save our dog. We where directed to another animal hospital. Agua Fria Animal Hospital. Upon arrival. Or dog was having another episode. We told the receptionist that we think our dog is having a heart attack. They did not hesitate. They took my dog and gave him a fighting chance to live. That showed me how much they care for others pets. And when is an emergency, is an emergency. My family loved our dog. He defended the family till death when intruders got in the house. As small as the dog was. He was a real guard dog. I admit it was loyal friend. The doctors did what they could. The only thing left to do was give our dog the best last moments before he goes. With everything that was done to save him. He also did not wanted to go. He is also fighting to stay alive. He's been shown love from everyone. He is now recovering. Every bit helps. And it was worth it. Thanks to Agua Fria Animal Hospital and thank you Jesus. Our dog is recovering.
We have been taking our pets to Agua Fria Animal Clinic since around 2004 after we moved here; at first our cats and then our dogs. Everyone is friendly & knowledgeable. We never have to wait a long time. We are totally satisfied that our pets have had the best medical care. and lately our dogs have been lovingly treated by Dr. Shannon Foster.
