Been attending Gateway for 7ish years now. Love our church home and the Gospel-centered teaching we experience on Sunday mornings. We also have an incredible ministry established for the children and students in our communities full of Christ-centered, committed adults who love children and are called to nurture these young lives and their walk with Jesus.
When we were looking for a church home, we wanted solid biblical teaching, a community of believers led by pastors who truly live out their faith, and an outward focus. We don't care about music styles or fashion.
I'm quite excited with our church! The music is loud, yes. Almost every Sunday, they make sure to include an older hymn during worship music. The leaders have immense musical talent, and the congregation is engaged instead of spectating.
The pastoral staff is awesome. They generally preach through entire books of the Bible, letting God make the points instead of cherry-picking their way around. Luke especially has exactly the heart of a shepherd that you want leading.
They include several mission trips and opportunities to serve, both locally and abroad. Folks are kind & generous to each other.
The kids program is outstanding. The younger ages have classrooms in the very first hallway, where there are always 3-5 leaders in the room at a time and lots of floor-to-ceiling windows for security, transparency, & peace of mind.
The staff makes it a focus to build up new leaders, properly train & vet them, and send them out to work. Sometimes this has meant good people leave the church, bit Redemption Gateway is more concerned that Kingdom work is being done than keeping their numbers at maximum.
Our family has been attending for nearly a year, and we plan to never leave. Join us - you won't be disappointed.
This place is an exceptional place to go to church. When I moved to the East Valley, I tried out half a dozen churches before I came here. After only one time, I knew I had to come back. Because of the many crazy things happening with other religious organizations & churches, I have become wary of churches. Coming here, it is obvious the church is healthy and thriving. The people have a genuine love for others and they have exceptional children's programs. I've been going to the college group for a couple months and have started serving here; I feel like God is using Redemption in my life to heal me from the past & go forward in my walk with God. If you are considering coming, no matter who you are, there is a place for you here.
Great Church, the music is awesome, good solid preaching. They also have kids programs, birth through 5th grade, during the service. They truly live up what they say, "We are a gospel-centered, outward-focused church that helps one another grow in our love of God and others."
