“I can't say enough about this place. I LOVE their food and it is always consistent. Don't let their tiny little shop fool you - the food is fantastic. It isn't the big fancy restaurant they used to have with the barbershop quartets and ice cream cones, but the quality of food is the same. I get their pizza every time I come back to AZ for a visit. There is a small area to eat on site, however take out is just as good. These people work extremely hard to satisfy their customers. On a typical weekend night be prepared to wait 30-45 minutes for your order if you order upon arrival. They are busy for a reason! LJs is a local secret and you are crazy if you choose a different pizza place in Mesa.”

“I’ve had a hard time finding baked goods that look beautiful and also taste good. La Bonne Bake’s cakes are amazing—so pretty but also exceptionally delicious. We have ordered two wedding cakes from them and were very happy with both. The flavors are unique and yummy and they were truly works of art that we were proud to show off at the reception and serve to our guests. I have also ordered their cookies and cupcakes which have been so tasty. The staff was friendly, flexible and helpful. I will definitely continue to use La Bonne Bake and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for delicious and beautiful baked goods great service at reasonable prices.”

“Great place. John is a great teacher. One bad thing is the occasional Kids instructor. He is a Blue belt, but he is not effective as a teacher. He will teach a move and then let the kids struggle through the drills. He will sit in a corner or move around slowly and watch and maybe only help just a few students. The rest are left to flounder in confusion while he is paying attention to only a few kids. Then the drills are over and most kids are not sure of the drill. I never say anything out of respect. I am glad when John teaches the kids. Also, this blue belt instructor is borderline inattentive. For example, there was a kid using a “can opener” neck crank on my son which is completely not allowed in Jiujitsu. This instructor was on the other side of the room “rolling” with ONE kid while my son was in danger and all the other kids were not even sure if they were drilling correctly. John is much more attentive and he sees everything. In my opinion all this instructor needs is more supervision and he will be okay. This was over three occasions. My guess is that he is a new instructor or is a volunteer instructor without experience instructing kids. But he needs to change his teaching style. I will still keep my son enrolled. Great school overall. Highly recommend!”
