My husband and I have been members of St Bridget's for more than 6 years and have always felt the welcoming spirit of this church. It's truly a Christian community!
We are both over 65 and are winter residence in Mesa. For those who criticize our presence you should realize that while we are here, we shop in the area shops, we support local restaurants and theaters as well a charities and we pay taxes.
In response to the comment someone made about asking for money, churches just like all of us have expenses; utilities, upkeep, payroll, etc. Without the financial commitment of those who worship they could not exist.
I ask neighbors to be patient and understanding when Sunday morning comes, especially times like Christmas and Easter. We will do our part by respecting your neighborhood. I personally invite you to come and join us. We are a multigenerational, inclusive church and welcome all.
A smaller Catholic church that has wonderful music of Praise. After listening to the sermons I leave feeling refreshed and ready to live Gods word. The people are so welcoming to we new comers. Praise the Lord for guiding us to this church.
We’ve attended Saturday vigil and Sunday Mass many times at St. Bridget, while visiting in Scottsdale. A friendly, spiritual-centered community, and excellent homilies by the celebrants. Our home parish, while away from home.
I read negative comments about this Church. And, I encourage people to come and see for themselves before agreeing with those comments or making any judgement based on what they read. I live in Gilbert and I'm part of this Church with my family. I'm not close to be 50 or 60 years old but have been welcome with warm and love with no judgement whatsoever. People who goes to that church don't care the colors of your skin or if you're part of the LGBT community, tiny, small, medium, tall, long or big. They care about the compassion for each other and the faith in what they believe.
The church parking lot is big and ready to accommodate as many cars as it can handle but we all know when snowbirds come to town our street and freeway double in size. That's why there is car parked on the side of the street. However, it doesn't mean those people don't care about pedestrians or kids playing in the neighborhood. Some people drive a little bit faster sometimes but does that mean they all part of St. Bridget Church.
One thing for sure when you part of the community you have to contribute with your time, with your heart and financially if you can. It's not an obligation it just be part of something you believe.
I like this Church a lot and they can always count on my help to help the surrounding community and to help those who don't have enough.
Welcoming and full of hospitality and amazing worship, Priests are awesome!!!
