My husband has been at Class Act almost two years, and I have been grateful from the first day that he was able to live there. The staff is like family. They are kind and patient with each resident, and they work like a team to meet their needs. The home is clean and attractive, the home-cooked meals are delicious, and the daily routine includes exercise and activities at their level. My husband is very content, which says it all.
Tatay was at this house temporarily before he moved into the other location. I will say both staff at each house are so freaking amazing. I’m just a few months they were able to make him feel like family. My wife and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you Karen and Stacy for going the extra mile.
REVIEW FOR CLASS ACT ASSISTED LIVING
In March 2016, our father, Albert, was involved in a terrible motor vehicle accident that resulted in multiple fractures of several major bones throughout his body. He was “snow-birding” in Arizona at the time of the accident, while all of his family lived in Reno.
Upon his release from the hospital we searched for a place where he could begin his recovery, as he was unable to travel back to Nevada. After one misfortunate stay at a group care facility, we were recommended to try Class Act Assisted Living. All we can say is "what a blessing this was". The owners and all of the staff members have been professional, caring, and well beyond accommodating. This wasn't always easy when dealing with Dad. Being a former Marine and retired law enforcement officer, he was quite opinionated and set in his ways.
Recently, Dad suffered a significant medical issue which again put him in the hospital. And, sadly, after speaking with the doctors, it was clear that, if he were to recover, his quality of life would be greatly diminished. He was unable to outwardly communicate in any way. He rarely opened his eyes, and when he did, they usually closed within a minute.
One afternoon, the Class Act manager and a staff member came to visit Dad. They brought him a couple of Valentine's Day posters and chocolates. But even more special, when they began talking to him, Dad immediately opened his eyes, and kept them open throughout their visit. They told him how much they, and all of the other residents, missed him and they wanted him to come back to the assisted living facility.
After seeing how much they, and Joshua, the owner of Class Act, cared about Dad, it was evident to us that Dad should not spend his remaining days in a hospital room. The following day, Dad was transferred back to Class Act, while also under the care of Hospice. While we initially believed all of his family was in Nevada, it was clear that his family was also at Class Act Assisted Living.
Even though we knew Dad was coming to the end of his journey, Class Act Assisted Living gave us comfort and peace of mind knowing he would pass peacefully at “home”.
Josh and his team were professional, courteous, and extremely thorough during our initial interactions. We know we’re in good hands with Class Act. We didn’t hesitate in selecting their company to care for our loved one. We appreciate the care you’ve provided for our Granny and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their services to any of our family and friends.
My mom lived at Class Act II Assisted Living for 18 months. They were recommended to me by Hospice of the Valley. She had been in 2 other residential facilities and they didn't compare to the level of professionalism and outstanding care she received at this home. The Manager (Karen) runs a tight ship but at the same time is so kind to the residents and the staff. It is a lovely, very organized, clean home, with good food!
