Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport

Have been using this airport for many years & and watching the expansion over the years . I hope they r thru because I like the small, efficient, clean, easy to board & exit airport. There was only one time I didn't care for, it was when it rained during boarding. I recommend this airport to anyone flying to this area.

Great smaller airport. Parking was easy In and Out. Ticketing was located in a different building than the terminal. A little confusing, but there were people positioned to direct you where u need to be. TSA was a breeze compared to larger airports. I enjoyed practically NO line to get thru. Once you get thru into the secured area there's coffee and a few Eateries as well as a couple c-stores to pick up last minute conveniences. I really enjoyed utilzing this location. And I will in future again!

I'm a sucker for a small airport. Through TSA quick. A Panera, mexican restaurant and I believe one more(not definite). There is also a store for Arizona gear, snacks, magazines etc. Very clean, trash was taken care of and bathrooms were in tip top shape. Plenty of security. There are only about 7 gates. There aren't a lot of flights in and out of here. I fly allegiant mostly. When I come to the Phoenix area from now on this is where I will be flying into and out of from here on out even though it's a little out of my way. It's worth it. TSA and any other employee I came in contact with was very friendly. One thing to consider, there are no jetways at this airport. You enter the plane outside. This might be a little difficult for older passengers or ones with disabilities. Great airport with great employees!

**** I saw an employee( maybe a maintenance man) help a traveler figure out his flight and gate info. I don't think the passenger spoke English. But this employee checked on him a couple times and even made sure he had food. I thought it was so kind and worth sharing.

You can't fly everywhere from here but it sure is nice for a direct on Allegiant! It seems like most of the people are friendly. If you find yourself here and are wanting a coffee while you wait, check out Infusion Coffee! I got a blended white chocolate mocha. It was spot on! Very tasty! And the lady that was working there today was super nice.

Beautiful, quaint airport - Easy to get around and easy to find where you need to go within and around the airport. Very friendly staff too. The rental car pickup and return process has gone incredibly smoothly for us as well here; plus, there is a gas station within a mile of the airport, so it's easy to fill up with gas in rental return day to ensure you've got a full tank of gas in the rental. The airport has a great coffee shop and gift shops here too! There are also beautifully manicured and staged rest/ waiting areas within the airport that help waiting be more relaxing. For those picking people up from the airport, there are shopping areas and a golf course also within a mile nearby to help occupy your time while waiting for a flight to land. We love flying in and out of this airport and will be back again, for sure!
