John Wheeler, MD

I came to Dr wheeler's office due to a trimalleolar fracture. I first met with his assistant dr shupe. He was great and gave me confidence in a time that I was very anxious about the near future. His office was able to quickly get me in for surgery within a few days. The staff was all amazing and so helpful. I am currently two days post surgery and starting to feel some relief already. Looking forward to my two week post-op appointment.

Can’t say enough good about Dr. Wheeler and his staff. I shattered my leg and was taken to Banner Baywood. Dr. Wheeler wasn’t on duty but was notified of the case and came in the next morning to perform the first of two surgeries. Almost 7 months in recovery and I’m walking on my own, bones healed beautifully and surgical sight is almost invisible. Great care and very pleasant.

I had been in the ER almost a week earlier and was diagnosed with a broken humerus. They had made me the appointment I was there for and it was the earliest appt I could get. They told me they had rescheduled me for almost another week away because they had scheduled me with a Dr who only does knees and hips. I almost started crying because of the pain I was in. So they said they would schedule me with the PA but she needed to review my chart really fast. Upon looking at my X-ray she showed the surgeon who was there to look at my xrays. He looked at my xrays and said he would see me right then. So I was seen and he came in and said I needed surgery. He was very nice and answered all of my questions. He was very knowledgeable and treated me with kindness and compassion.

Dr. Wheeler is an amazing, knowledgeable and fun doctor. I had a non union from a fractured ulna. He was patient with my mistakes and taught me so much more than I'd imagine to learn from a doctor!
I'd make the 2 hour drive to see him above any other doctor I've had!
He's got an amazing team also!
