I ordered some tires from Tire Rack and choose Discount Tire as the shop. I called to make an appointment (suggested by Tire Rack's email). They had all the information on the order, picked a date based on the shipping easy as that. When I got there day of everything was great. The store was nice, clean, and everyone was friendly. They explained the install charge, offered me some extras (no pressure), and took my keys. I asked if they were up to speed on how to jack a Corvette and the tech said absolutely and it was always smart to ask the shops that question. The install took the allotted time and everything was top-notch when I picked it up. I was very impressed with how easy and quick the whole process was. Next time I will skip Tire Rack and start with Discount Tire and see what they can do.
I purchased a new tire for my new to me 2012 Sprinter due to an alignment issue from this store today. Unfortunately another customer backed into my van while the tech was pulling my van into the bay. While this is obviously a frustrating event it was out of their hands. I mostly dealt with Oliver (Senior Assistant Manager) and he was very apologetic and dealt with the situation tactfully. The tech, who unfortunately I can’t remember his name, was also extremely apologetic. I am yet to find out how corporate will deal with my repairs but as far as customer service goes for this branch I was impressed. My right rear door is bent (shifted upward) due to the other customer backing into the custom made bike rack that is mounted to that door and my van is custom painted in Toyota Army Green so it’s not such a simple fix. There is damage to the plastic bumper as well. I will update the review once the claim has been handled but the customer service of the team member should be recognized at this point.
*Update: My experience with Fleet Response who handles all Discount Tire's claims was easy and efficient. I submitted a repair estimate from a local shop and my claim was quickly processed and approved. Thank you Discount Tire for taking a frustrating situation and making the best out of it. The level of customer service throughout the process was great and I'll continue to bring my vehicles here when I need tires!
My experiences at Discount Tire have only been positive. Somehow I have gotten a screw in my tire twice in the past year and they removed it quickly and FREE of charge both times. The staff is super friendly. I do recommend making an appointment ahead of time if possible. I was not able to make an appointment this time and came at 5pm during the week, so it was very busy. My wait was still only 1 hour! However, I believe that for the employees it's better if you're able to make an appointment. I highly recommend their services!
