ACTS Homeless Ministry

Volunteering at ACTS fills me up every time. It is truly special to meet those going through homelessness as well as the other volunteers, and it is hands down the place of intentional conversations and genuine smiles. This ministry is demonstrating God’s love so so well.

Serving with the ACTS homeless ministry was a really great experience. A few people from my church and I went through and sorted all the clothing donations by gender and size, bagged them up and delivered them to the people who needed them. Overall it was super great and I’m glad that the ACTS homeless ministry is able to make an impact.

i work but do to a eviction be came homeless and the being of October last year. this is the only place i have found i can park my car and me and my cat can sleep with out being chased off or cops called on use thing im overdosing. thank u guys and god bless u all

I have been volunteering at ACTS for a couple years now and it has become a huge blessing in my life. ACTS Homeless Ministry serves the homeless and working poor in our communities with food, clothes, bikes and many other resources based on needs. I have been able to witness first hand the difference that a "hand up" can make. I have also been able to experience how God can work through me and others to make a tangible difference. A real life example of a concept taught by Jesus.

ACTS is supported by Central Christian Church and donations from anyone that wants to help support this cause.

If you are reading this and could use some help, this is a great place to go. Just show up (no reservation necessary!) at Central Christian's Mesa campus on Lindsay Rd just South of Brown from 7:00 am to 11:00 am every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month.

As a volunteer, there are many different opportunities to serve. You can help sort clothes, give clothes out, cook or serve hot meals, help at the nurse's station, cut hair, repair bikes, help in the showers, help pray with people, make peanut and butter sandwiches, and so much more! There's a spot waiting for you!

ACTS Homeless Ministry helps, cares and loves the people in the community just as Jesus taught us to do. I've seen so many lives change because of the services they offer. If you're in need of clothes, food, a haircut, glasses, shower or a bicycle...you can be assured they will be there with an open heart and a prayer! That's Love!!!
