Just far enough from Wickenburg to be secluded and cozy. The fully equipped kitchen was great.
Very nice western experience casitas. Owners are artists and very consciousness in relating to their guests. Located along Hwy. 60 but situated such that the highway noise is blocked. Just about 3 miles into town and about 27 miles by highway into Surprise. Highly recommended!
Anyone with a slightest artist's eye can see the care and attention to detail that has gone into remaking Rio Tierra Casitas. Every corner of the property has Mark and Laura's (the owners) personal touches - paintings, homemade decor, and art. I stayed in the Cowboy Casita, and it feels like home as soon as you walk into the house. If you're feeling sociable, make sure you hang out with the owners for what they call "Howdy Hour". It's located right next to the nature preserve, so there are frequent animals that come to visit along the back fence. It's definitely the wild west, so bring a blacklight flashlight to look for scorpions at night if you're feeling daring. Great for getting away from the crowded city and spending some time in peace.
It's amazingly cute, great atmosphere, adorable houses with everything you need, there's also quite a bit to do around here as far as activities, and the owners Kim abd Ross are absolutely the nicest most generous people in the world and they both do a very great job. I definitely recommend this adorable Casitas to anyone and their family. 100% recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to stay. Rio Tierra Casitas is the place.
Rio Tierra Casitas is an amazing, relaxing oasis only a few miles from Wickenburg’s historic downtown. Rio Tierra features a variety of unique, well-appointed and cozy suites: Rancho Deluxe, Mexicasa and Lucy’s Bungalow. The décor is pure Western and the helpful host and hostess make this the best place to stay in the Wickenburg area, plus they offer extras such as homemade baked goodies, desert sunshine-dried linens and mesquite wood for an evening barbeque.
