It's a hidden gem if you want to learn about a key piece of Phoenix history which we now see today in the form of the MetroRail. The museum has some street parking outside, or you could park on Fillmore St (easier to park there). They have an accessible ramp to get to the entrance.
Inside, there's two small rooms with interpretive signs. They also have some old trolley artifacts. The employees working there are super knowledge and friendly. Don't forget to check the area in the back. They have a trolley that you can go in and they demo the car to you. There's also two other train cars they're working on restoring.
If you like rail you'll enjoy a visit. It is small and I wanted to leave. Then I got to talking to the guys there. They will talk rail. I stayed a LOT longer than I had planned.
the museum it small but really cute and the staff was really warm and really knowledge about they history of the valley metro and the museum, I had such a lovely time and really recommend to give a small donation, they are trying to keep the history for the people from phoenix instead of the government keep it.
Well worth a visit!! This is the new location of the Phoenix Trolley Museum. They have moved from Hance Park (Deck Park) to 1117 Grand Avenue. They are open on Saturdays from 9 am to 4 pm from October through May. Also open on First and Third Fridays during those months. Check it out!
