Daawat Indian Cuisine

Mary-lou (Lulu) was communicative and accommodated our early check-in. She was a very warm host who clearly takes pride in creating a nice experience for her guests at the property, down to the furniture arrangements. My girlfriend and I (young professional and student) stayed for one night in the room on the second floor to the left, which had a nice partial view of the vineyard, and the bed was very comfortable. The furniture styling is akin to what you would see in a luxury hotel, an interesting mix of modern and old-fashioned across different cultures. The lower deck at the back of the house can be used by guests, and it's a nice place to chill out and enjoy the vineyard view.

Breakfast at 830 the next morning was a huge treat, with Lulu going out of her way to serve us coffee, french toast with proscuitto and fresh fruit. She is a very open person and we had good conversations together with another older German couple. I saw a few reviews that complained about the lack of flexible breakfast timing, but I think the timing is to respect the intimate experience she wants to give the guests, and we appreciated it very much.

Another great thing about the BnB is its proximity to the downtown of Niagara-on-the-lake - it's just a short 15 minutes walk or 5 minutes drive. I highly recommend this BnB which goes for about the same price as larger commercial establishments such as Holiday Inn, but is situated much nearer to the downtown so you live more like how locals do.

We will definitely be staying with Lulu again the next time we visit!

20min walk from Niagra-On-The-Lake centre. Lulu was very welcoming and an amazing chef. Breakfast was delicious!

I had never stayed in a B&B before and I was nervous. Staying in someone’s actual home??? Well, Lulu made me feel welcome and put my mind at ease. She carefully answered all of my questions about B&B life and what to do around town. I stayed in the big room and it was immaculate. Breakfast was French toast and back bacon! Very yummy. If I find myself back at NOTL I will for sure stay with her again! Thanks for a memorable stay!

Though a questionable establishment to get food at, Daawat Indian Cuisine offers a wide array of delicious food. It is well made and priced fairly. I would have no problem revisiting. My only gripe would be of the rustic atmosphere.

Good food and amazing Indian style spicy taste. I have been eating at this place for long time and is one of my favorite place to get food.

Lulu, the host is charming and she is a great chef. She really knows the area and is very helpful recommending nice wineries, restaurants and things to do in the area. The breakfast are excellent and served on a very nice outside patio. The location is right in the middle of several wineries and is in a quiet area. We stayed in the beautiful master bedroom. The bed is very comfortable with a mini fridge. We highly recommend this B&B.

This place is there when you need it. It’s there when you’re just quickly craving Indian food and don’t care about quality. It’s cheaper than most places but portions are small.

This place is without a doubt the best Indian food I have had, granted I've only traveled within the US but all throughout. A hidden gem, diamond in the rough, this quaint location packs a HUGE punch of flavor and more than reasonable prices for the portions of food. Chicken curry and chicken palak this go around.
