Recovia is an excellent place for overall physical therapy and behavioral health therapy. It is an intense active care facility 6-8 weeks in length and also has supportive care afterwards to continue the routine. I would recommend Recovia to anyone asking for substance, behavioral or physical therapy help.
I had no conceived idea what expect but from my initial counseling I felt welcomed and encouraged to try their active care program. If you're looking for a warm and caring environment, this is the place. Their facility allows you lockers, coffee and tea, along with water. They try and have you participate in daily activities based on a monthly calendar. I was able to share my pet photo, get a temporary tattoo, dress in Hawaiian style, patriotic for July 4th, have bomb pops, gummy worms, chocolate cookies and much more. They make you feel part of the family. Give them a try, I don't think you would be disappointed.
Like with any program, you have to focus and be "all in". You have to be serious about wanting to learn to take care of yourself. Throughout each week, patients meet with their medical advisor for health reviews, consultations and prescriptions, then there's behavioral therapy, both one on one and group and finally, physical therapy. The physical therapy seemed to be an odd component of the program to me at first but it all becomes part of the mind/body experience and healing. It inspires you to take care of yourself physically and mentally.
The front office is very friendly and professional. All of the scheduling and general administration is handled efficiently. The facility itself is a very well designed, clean, modern, pleasant setting in an Honor Health campus.
Recovia saved my life. I came here when I hit a point of depression and grief where suicide seemed like an option. I couldn't emotionally connect to anything important in my life at the time and being cut off from those supports was awful. This program gave me my life back, truly. Active care gave me so many ways to support myself and learn distress tolerance. I finished active care in a place where I am now stable enough to work with my individual therapist every couple of weeks on my past traumas and I have started back in school again, working toward my goals once more. I wish everyone was able to have at least one round of active care here. My chronic illness is stable, my mind is calm, and my future holds promise again. Thank you.
After losing the fiancé I thought I was going to marry the pain and mourning were reflected on destructive behavior and actions. Choosing Recovia in the grieving process was the catalyst needed to stop going the wrong way and hit a rock bottom I didn’t need to hit. As a person with ADHD I tend to put my value in what people think. But it took the people I thought I couldn’t live without to break me enough to find my own strength. Through their modo to Resolve, Reclaim and Recover I have been able to recover and rise from. The ashes. I have been able to see behind the gaslighters and my own destructive behavior the reasons and true intentions of bad copying mechanisms. Understanding my faults as well as my strengths through this. I have reinvented myself a million times and thanks to Recovia I will be able to do it a million more. Their staff is caring and puts patients first accommodating as possible.
I would recommend Recovia to anyone. Why you ask me?
Because they teach you how your mind and body works together. Like it's made to be.
Yes, it's very intense therapy, however you have a fantastic staff who are there to help you ever step of the way. There staff are fantastic and helpful and friendly and kind and respectful. They really care for each individual that comes through the doors.
The staff rejoice with each client who has conquer their issues in baby steps.
They also offer advance steps ( be with you)to help you on continue on your journey to recovery.
