A fascinating look at firefighting equipment from as far back as the 18th century. Immaculately cared for, the museum and it's contents are well worth a couple dollars to see the incredible craftsmanship and engineering.

Stopped by here for the first time during a stay-cation. Impressive collection of older and newer restored fire trucks from USA, Canada, Europe and Japan going way back to the early 1800s. The rooms with the various collection are in date order BTW. Also have memorials to the fallen firefighters and bits of history are all over the walls through various pictures, paintings and framed memorabilia. The one that got to me was a restored FDNY truck from 9-11. I got chills standing next to it. A large place to say the least. You won't be disappointed and will be impressed.

We had such an exceptional experience here. The two veteran fire fighters helped make our experience extraordinary. These veterans work here. My heart was touched they honor the fallen fire fighters and the hero fire fighters including paramedics. This place has been established in the valley since the 50’s. I will now consider this one of our valley treasures. It is definitely worth the $10 admission. Thank our God there are people who give their time resources and treasure to make this spectacular venue possible. My favorite story is why our fire trucks are decorated so elaborately: it is because of the friendly competition between the teams. Just add a little competition (it is welcome in all venues: to make it better).

Pleasantly surprised with this local museum! Visited with my family who were in from out of state, and we were looking for interesting museum-type activities. Caveats for those who like to keep their museum-going experiences brief: this place is HUGE, it really is the world's largest museum dedicated to firefighting, and face it, fire trucks are sorta big... Also, to really enjoy the displays, you need to READ the info on each from a book you get to carry with you while you're there. This isn't everyone's cup of tea, but there's a lot of history contained within. Staffed by knowledgeable former firefighters, who might just demonstrate some equipment for you if you ask. ????

Great place full of world wide fire history! There are antique fire fighting devices from like 1800s. There's a cute gift shop. My little guy loved being able to climb in a fire truck in Gallery 2. He also really enjoyed the safety house in the other gallery.
