Morning Star Baptist Church

My dad (Loyd Jay Spencer) built this church in 1952 with his own hands. He pastored the church until we moved back to Tulsa, OK in 1962. My childhood memories are full of this church. We lived in the parsonage that was attached to the south side. Dad is still in Phoenix. Next time i am in Phoenix, I would love to bring Dad to one of your services.

I was the organist here at Morning Star for many years. This is a very spiritual, energetic church. We sing songs from artist Planet Shakers, Hezekiah Walker and many more. We are big enough to help you and small enough to know you. Sunday service starts at 11am and Friday night service at 7:30pm at the second location on 39th avenue and Dunlap. Come out and experience a great move in God!

I love this ministry I been going for a year and I've grown a lot in that time the members are really nice and there's something for everyone to do rather your a young,single,married individual if you want grow naturally and spiritually and you want to experience the true spirit of God this is the best place for you
