We made a last minute trip to Alabama Hills near Lone Pine, CA to enjoy better weather before winter rains arrive in the Pacific NW. We camped for 5 nights. The Turtle Back Trailer was wonderful to use. The wife loved the shower and the Kitchen was the best. Having 40 gals of water to use with the hot water heated was a plus. Doing the dishes with a sink and hot water made the after cooking clean up much faster and enjoyable.
I’ve owned my Expedition trailer for nearly 2 years now. One word I would use is awesome. Dave, Kevin and their entire crew are great to deal with. The knowledge and helpful attitudes and the fact they use their own product extensively speaks for the quality and design of their trailers. This trailer will go way more places than my Raptor can go and has proven very trailworthy. It pulls easily and tracks really well, even at high speeds. The Turtleback Herd events are a great time with good people that share the same outdoor desire. They aren’t a cheap product but they are well worth every dime spent.
Our family bought an expedition trailer in August of 2017. It has been the most amazing addition to our family camping experience. We have taken it over 13,000 ft mountain passes in Colorado as well as off the beaten path camping spots. This is our favorite way to get away.
Dave and his team gave us exemplary customer service. They made sure we understood all the options as well as their benefits and helped guide us to the accessories we needed. Everything about our trailer just works for us. The build quality is amazing and you can tell that every part of the trailer has been well thought out. I have yet to have an experience with the trailer where I say "I wish it had ____ ".
One of the most complete, capable and usable off-highway trailers on the market. I especially like the large water supply, quality of construction and well thought out design. If you're going to rough it, do it in comfort and style!
Today we purchased a 23Zero Byron Roof Top Tent from Turtleback Trailers. They were incredibly helpful through the process. They offered to assemble and install the tent for a bit over $100, or were fine with us assembling and installing it there prior to bringing home. We assembled ourselves and also realized that their quoted Install price would’ve been fair. It took us about an hour or so. Not too challenging but a fair amount of work and makes sense why no one would install it for free. While our trailer isn’t a Turtleback, they were helpful giving advice for some things on our existing trailer. During our last visit they ran us through a trailer they had completed. The attention to detail and well throughout layout was very impressive. When I’m ready to upgrade my trailer, the Turtleback will be at the top of the list.
I’d gladly go back and also highly recommend anyone looking for a heavy duty trailer, consider these. Great company to work with.
