Joe is one of the owners, I’ll tell you what, he got me at the word cookie. I Ate my cookie as if It was an appetizer at the beginning of a meal dinner and it was absolutely delicious, and even had sprinkles on top. I believe he told me that his wife does all the baking.
My husband had the sausage sandwich although it was very tasty we would still like more heat. I had the lunch special. It was a combination of 3 different things, I’m really glad I ordered that because it did get me a variety.
Jessica, Manny, Joe, You all are my kind of people! You made our first visit (not last)very special, we will be back. This place is a full lawn dally pretty much just about anything you would need to make a tell you food and fresh meats they got it.
I WOULD recommend.

Salvatore told me to get Italian sausage from Guido's. He was right, it was good. And I guess I'll have to return to eat. The place was full of very happy eaters, waiters and cook staff were hopping with activity. I loved the vibe. A bit of the old Italian neighborhood. Thanks for the referral, Sal.

The only place we go for authentic italian food. Amazing staff and the food is always perfection! Mr. Guido is a good man with even better taste! Everyone there is always so friendly and on top of it.

An idea of amazing their food is: we took my family here when they were visiting from California.. My mother HATES pizza. But she LOVES Guido's pizza. She said it's the only pizza she will ever eat again. It's now their go-to when they come visit!

Outstanding true Chicago Italian food. Atmosphere brings me back to the Italian delis where I grew up. The owner Joe Guido & his wife Ada are the most down to earth people that run & own a long experienced establishment. Joe grew up learning all aspects of the business from his mother, father & uncles decades ago. All of his food is either home made like his fantastic true Italian sausage & beef. & some shipped in from Italy.
You will not find a better deli anywhere than Guido's Chicago Meats. One last word, his entire staff are hard working & polite employees, some have been with Joe for over 20 yrs, that tells you something about his beliefs & heritage.
