My mother was here for a few months and she received so much love and support from the staff, the nurses. I feel they treated her like family. They comforted me during my time of loss with her. If you want staff that care and will watch over your loved ones, this is the PERFECT place to be. This is a REAL review. They called me every time something went wrong and always let me know how she was doing. I love the staff here. Your family would too.
I really like the desert the only thing I disagreed on they need to fix the trees to make it look better it looks like the boonies is like you can get lost in this place that's
Fantastic scenery, but ... our window was smashed at dusk and things were taken from our car, even though we were quite close to arriving back at the car as it happened, they got away. So, just be very careful with leaving any belongings in your car.
Gets pretty hot. Would bring in car shades
The parking lot is middle-sized, but the greatest part about it, is that you can come to park here before sunrise and then get your hike started early. This is especially helpful in the summer when you want to beat the heat. It's not a gated lot, so you can come and go as you please.
It connects with the Levee trail (? forgot the name) which is not a very impressive trail. It's very flat, but once you walk for about a few minutes, you do reach the Gateway trail which then connects with other trails. Much more scenic along those trails...
Wonderful views, HUGE cacti, and friendly hikers. Perfect place to watch the sun set over the city of Scottsdale. Also think it's drone friendly!
I have been working here for almost a year. Can I say it's perfect? No. But you won't find a perfect nursing home. Why? Because unfortunately people aren't perfect. But I can say we have several staff members who truly care. I personally can say I love my residents and treat them like I would my own parents or grandparents. In my 14 years of being a nurse i have worked in several nursing homes and I have to say LMBR is the best by far. We have a great DON and administrator that care. No matter where you go you will have people who care and people who don't. It's sad but true. At LMBR we try to weed out anyone who doesn't care and hire someone else. Unfortunately no comes in for an interview and states "it's a job/ paycheck, I really don't care about people ". If they did I can guarantee they wouldn't be hired. I love my hugs, smiles and sweet words from my residents on a daily basis and I love that they smile when they see me.
My mother has been there for almost three years. I have no complaints, but, more importantly, my mother has no complaints. The other day she asked me to promise she would never go anywhere else. She has no appetite, but she loves the meals so much that she eats (she actually raves about the meals). She can even get a peanut butter sandwich and milk if she wants it. Every time I visit (often) her room is clean and bedside water is fresh and cold. The facility is very nicely furnished and smells good (important in a nursing home). There are lots of activities everyday. Her medical needs are well attended to. I would recommend Landmark, and have recommended it to friends.
