(November 8, 2019, 2:43 pm)I needed to order contact lenses with a script from another state via phone and the staff was beyond helpful in making it happen! Thank you, thank you, thank you! They are shipping my lenses to me now. The woman I chatted with (sorry, forgot your name!) was friendly, warm, and very communicative.
I've been to many eye doctors over the years and this has been the best service I've received by far!
(September 11, 2019, 7:11 pm)Dr. Bass and staff are fantastic. Very personable and professional. Dr. Bass has been fitting me with scleral lenses. It can take some time to get just the right fit, but she will make sure no matter how long it takes to make sure its correct. I have recommended her and will continue my eye care with her.
(March 6, 2019, 12:03 pm)Dr Bass is the best eye doctor I have ever visited and I’ve been to MANY. I have a very difficult to treat eye condition (kerataconis) that in the past forced me to wear rigid gas permeable contact lenses. These are very uncomfortable, but they were the only option in the past so I dealt with them.
Dr Bass introduced me to Scleral Contact Lenses. These contacts are made of the same material as RGP lenses, but they are much larger and rest on the white of the eye, where there are less nerve endings, they also have a reservoir of saline solution that gets held between the lens and eye surface.
On the day of the lens fitting appointment, I was the only patient in the office for a 2 hour appointment with Dr Bass and 2 assistants. The level of patient care here is unparalleled, I’ve never had a health professional spend so much detailed time on me. Once the contacts arrived I tried them on and after 2 days of getting used to them, I hardly feel them anymore. This is a huge deal for me, if you’ve ever worn RGP lenses you’ll know, they never really get comfortable, I just thought eye pain was going to be a part of my life.
These new Scleral Contact Lenses are actually more comfortable for me than soft contacts were. I can go throughout the day with 20/20 vision (amazing in itself for someone with my condition) and no pain, this is an amazing accomplishment for a patient with my condition.
I could not recommend Dr Bass more. She is professional, courteous and great at explaining the process to the patient. Any vision-releated problem you’re having, give her a call, you can’t go wrong here.
(June 6, 2018, 1:25 pm)Dr. Bass and company always make every appointment efficient and, to the extent possible for an eye exam, enjoyable. Her staff is always personable and welcoming, and Dr. Bass is always very clear about options for treatments, what she's testing for at any given moment during a visit, and is crystal clear about how your results look. All your options for eyewear are presented clearly, and I always get great recommendations on various frames from Jennifer (she might know me *too* well). I've been seeing Dr. Bass for several years now, and my kids see her as well. We're absolutely happy with Excel Vision!
