Little Cay

Little Cay was good. I had heard about it from someone at work, so I went for take out after work. I've been back once so far and have recommended it to several others. The owner is first to admit this is not straight up food from any one place in the Caribbean. It is a Latin Caribbean fusion. I have enjoyed Caribbean and Latin foods, and the food is excellent.

The sauces I've found to be a bit more heat spicy than I've been used to in similar foods (Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Ecuador), so I may avoid those in the future, just a warning to those who have problems with spicy like I do.

I thought the food was pretty good, service quick and refills of drinks. The menu choices however seem limited. I would like to see more variety to choose from. Perhaps more seafood items? Experience overall was great.

Oh my it’s so good! Delightful dessert empanadas. Recently had 7 mile which was super flavorful and a heaping serving. Worth every penny. Can’t go wrong with any dish. They are softly spicy. None are spicy hot but you can get sauces to enhance that.

I had my first visit tonight. The food was remarkable! Admittedly, I'm not an expert on Caribbean cuisine, but I have had plenty of jerk chicken. The jerk chicken platter I had from Little Cay tonight was phenomenal. Super tender and flavorful. We started with a basket of empanadas that were also to die for. Every last thing on my plate was delicious! Service was very fast and friendly. Good beer selection and vibrant yet cozy surroundings. Will I be back? Yeah, hopefully next week!
