I always love going here, for several reasons. You can exercise, there is a water plat pad for those of y'all with kiddos. At night the light rail is lit up and is fun to see and watch the reflection on the water. I love the old tressel train track that is still used. The smell of the tresses and loud clatter of a real train. Did you know you can bike ride, run and walk the green belt in Scottsdale all the way down into Tempe and around the lake?! ? There are nearby businesses to rent paddle boards. You can sail scull and outrigger. Don't forget about fishing as well. Just enjoy water and distress ?
Great park, good place to see animals and birds in nature. The walking trail is easy to use and you see ducks, geese, squirrels, prairie dogs and rabbits. Lots more check it out for yourself.
This place is so relaxing. A beautiful evening of gentle water flow and ambient lighting. Fantastic place to unwind and enjoy a bike ride, stroll, and/or jog. Always neat and clean and during summer can also rent canoes/kayaks for boating adventures. People are friendly, and it's good vibes whenever we go. There are different access sides to the lake so there is a choice according to which side you enter at. One side bathroom's and kayaking most prevalent, and the other is more of a beach front fishing pier type of atmosphere. There are restrooms located on both sides, which are maintained and clean. I really enjoy afternoon park festivities as they are both family friendly and entertaining.
The lake is beautiful, but the real hidden gem is the (free!) art exhibit inside the theater. They have rotating artists and the desk clerk was so kind and informative. It only takes a moment of time, and she said sometimes the artists make appearances. Worth checking out if you haven’t seen it!
The “Rope Tower” is the best thing for ppl of all ages with a love for climbing! It’s very versatile and they always keep up maintenance! The playgrounds are colorful and very interactive with different things that appeal for a wide range of age. The little water park is also a treat if you wanna cool down but don’t wanna spend tons of money. All in all a wonderful park and my absolute favorite. Whether you want to walk along the scenic routes, play in the jungle gym, or jump in some puddles in the water area. There’s something for everyone
