The staff at this location goes out of there way to help you. I have ordered books from here and had them shipped here and they are awesome when you come to pick up your orders! The cashier at the front are very friendly and always remember to ask you if you have a Barnes and Noble Membership number! “I recently visited this comic book shop to prepare for a paper I'm writing in my college level Graphic Novel class. I went into the store needing guidance and that's just what I got. Both the employees working that day were very friendly and knowledgeable. I'm thankful I decided to stop into the shop rather than order a comic book online because I could actually flip through the books and see which ones I wanted to invest in. Also I was able to talk through my topic and the options with the employee which gave me some great ideas for my paper. I definitely recommend this shop if you are looking for something specific or just wanting to look around for something new. They have a huge selection of all things comic related.”

“This store is amazing. The huge crystals in front of the entrance are phenomenal and some are on rotating bases so you can aim the sunlight at just the right angle to get the best view of the crystal matrix. Once inside the store I was instantly overwhelmed (in a good way) by the beautifully handcrafted jewelry and the gorgeous raw specimens of crystals, many from the Arizona area. I was immediately greeted by Natalie, who knew a lot about the minerals and gemstones and her co-worker Katelyn who was also very friendly and helpful. Inside the store was a mini-mine you could walk through with a lighted safety helmet to see the minerals in their natural environment. If you only have time for one stop to see the minerals from the area, this should be it. Google maps took me right there without any problems. This store is a gem that must be seen!”

“If you are walking on campus you will see this book store. BEWARE. Arty the Artichoke sometimes hangs around here. He can get into moods some times. One time there was this student in there wearing a Mesa Community College shirt because she was taking classes at both campuses and just needed a book for a class at MCC. Arty goes up to her and says "why! is my school not good enough for you?" He then said that no one was aloud to sell her the book unless she bought a Scottsdale Community College t-shirt, went to the bathroom and changed, then went up to the counter to buy it. She left the place in tears.”

“I have not been to a Zia's is a very long time, and I do not know why I have not been. Even though when I used to go the store was closer to 90% music with 10% movies and novelty, where as now I would say it is closer to the other way around, Zia Records is still one of the best, and quite possibly one of the last, places you can go to and buy a CD or vinyl without having to have it delivered via Amazon or wherever. Also with so many novelty items, figures, books, and comics, prepare to spend a lot of time just to take a look at all they have to offer because I am sure you will find something you will want.”
