This place is absolutely gorgeous! Went with the family for the first time and saw several deer.
This place is awesome. Amazing views. Easy to hard hikes. Lots of picnic area.
We hiked Old Baldy trail up to Josephine Saddle and back. It is a steady climb up, with some larger rocks, but the path is well maintained and moderately trafficked. It's a moderately difficult trail, takes about 60-90min to get to the Saddle, much faster down 🙂 there are some nice views along the way but it is largely obstructed with trees. Overall, a good hike!
A bad day here is better than a good day elsewhere. Nice photo opportunities all along the trails for tweeties, and the water flow offers some variety. Having the brim of your hat get grazed by a Magnificent chasing another, exhilarating! Trail head parking areas were busy mid-week, but we got there at 10 and were able to find parking.
We're full time RVr's focused on hiking, blog link in bio.
There is an amazing variety of trails here.. For people of all abilities you will find something. Mount Wrightson is a 4000' climb be careful in bad weather. You can hike download or you can hike up high in the forest. There are maps available
