Having close to an hour to go over your symptoms, discuss a diagnosis, and get recommendations for effective remedies and treatments that avoid or minimize side effects is a real blessing. I simply cannot get the same standard of care from a 15-minute visit to a primary care physician or urgent care center. Dr. Gastellum has a broad range of knowledge of natural and conventional treatments ranging from common afflictions such as a cold or flu to complex issues such as cancer. She understands the emotional and nutritional aspects of disease and takes your intuition in this area seriously. I have never felt talked down to or felt like I was being shoe-horned into some one-size-fits-all approach to treatment. I recommend her highly.
Dr Mel is a willing listener. She takes the amount of time you need to work through questions and concerns. She is totally present, looks you in the eye, take notes. She is available, helpful, and a breath of fresh air in this crazy world of medical confusion. I’m thankful she is a part of my medical journey. No....my health journey.

Dr. Gastellum is the best, kindest, and most compassionate doctor I have been fortunate enough to work with since I moved to Tucson 20 years ago. I cannot recommend her services highly enough. With most doctors, you are lucky if you get 5 minutes of their attention before being pushed out the door with a prescription or two in your hand. Dr. Gastellum on the other hand, schedules large blocks of time for her patients to describe their condition/s in detail, she asks insightful questions, and determines the best course of action to resolve your challenges. With Dr. Gastellum, you feel like you are partners in your health, both focused on the best possible outcome for you. Again, I cannot recommend her highly enough.
