We enjoyed the ranch immensely. My wife and I were there for a long weekend staycation, the food was absolutely five-star. The staff was friendly and helpful with all of the activities. We did everything from of course horseback riding to hiking and laying around the pool not to mention ax throwing. With the long list of activities it definitely makes the all-inclusive package well worth the money.
We had the best time at Tanque Verde! Everyone was so great - Megan at the front desk and Taylor the Wrangler were exceptional. Food was great, activities are so much fun (especially the horse ones) and are small enough groups to make it feel like you’re getting the attention you need. Even if you don’t think you’re a “horse person” I would highly recommend taking advantage of their lessons and trail rides and you might surprise yourself. Perfect spot for families.
After 15 years, I went back to Tanque Verde with my sister and her husband for vacation. We love this place since there’s so much to do and just about everything is included. This is a great spot for people who like to stay active on vacation and don’t mind the lack of TVs.
During our visit we enjoyed multiple horse rides each day, in addition to tennis classes, axe throwing, archery, hiking, and time spent by the pool. Our favorite activities as teens and even now as adults have definitely been the breakfast ride, lope rides, and team penning. It is an investment, but worth it!
Special shout out to our outstanding wranglers, Mike, Dakota, and Aspen! We also loved our server, Omar! We appreciated the great service, humor, and attentiveness shown to us during our visit.
Side note - Don’t get frustrated if you don’t pass the lope check right off the bat. Safety is huge on the lope rides, so it’s nice to have wranglers who care and are willing to work with guests through the lessons to help them meet their horse riding goals. You pay a good bit to stay at the ranch, but at the end of the day you’re dealing with horses and it’s not just about you and what you want ;)
My in-laws were in town from Spokane WA, and we wanted them to experience a more authentic Tucson experience, but yet enjoy delicious food and 5 star service. We could not have chosen a better spot! It was our first time here as well. We came for a sunday brunch, and the food was delicious, with many creative dishes and plenty of pescatarian options for my husband. The salmon, shrimp, cheddar mashed potatoes, and prime rib were all big hits! We loved the decor, with wood beams, and saguaro lined ceilings. The fireplaces were huge, and although it was warm when we were there, you could smell the leftover smoke from last night's fires. Bella was our server, and she was outstanding. She offered a drink menu right away, made suggestions, and checked in frequently without being obtrusive. She was friendly and really made us feel welcome and appreciated. My in laws loved the rustic and old west decor and feel. We stopped and visited the horses after, and walked around the grounds a bit. We will definitely return, and look forward to bringing more friends and family!
Five stars. Amazing and just loads of relaxation and fun. We stayed four nights. Nice casita, comfortable, in winter and the hot water and the heat worked great. The food is absolutely amazing, every single thing is so delicious. Do NOT come here if you want to lose weight, it ain't gonna happen. All the activities were great. And so seamless, you just sign up, walk up, and everything you need is provided. So simple! Gorgeous desert landscapes, beautiful grounds and terrain. Staff are helpful and friendly. This place is also very low key and unpretentious, family friendly. You must go!
