Sierra Del Sol Assisted Living

My mother is very content at SDS. Gets the help she needs and has the amount of independence she can handle. Good care tailored to her needs.

As a working healthcare professional in Tucson I would highly recommend Sierra Del Sol for anyone looking for assisted living & memory care. The staff that I know (nurses, caregivers, management team, cooks) who care for the patients are very knowledgeable and truly care about their residents. The social environment (dining, activities, etc) at Sierra Del Sol are top notch. The additional resources they have in the community makes Sierra del Sol the best place for mom, dad, grandma, grandpa or whoever in your family that needs quality senior living, at an affordable price.

We happened upon SDS when we needed to move my Mom to a 24 hour care Memory Unit, but needed an independent unit for my Dad. A place that would allow them to be close and feel safe, supported.

The property is lovely, and every single staff member I have come into contact with in the last two weeks is gracious, kind and friendly.

It is not easy working in the senior retirement community business... I know as I worked in it for roughly 4 years as an ED. It is even more difficult working in a memory care unit, where aging loved ones are not the same selves they once were and need a lot of care. You have to give a level of trust, and rely on strangers to take care of your loved one the way you would.

My Mom was here for roughly 2 weeks, with supplemental hospice care from the time she moved in, until the time she passed. The team in the memory care unit was always amazing to us, and my Mom. We were not there 24 hours mind you, but I observed the other residents being cared for and looked after by all the staff. My Mom was pretty much incapacitated and relied heavily on the kind and gentle care of the team here. Besides the Wellness Director Jackie, who was knowledgeable and kind, there is one lady in particular who was a standout to me. It was such a stressful time, I can't even for the life of me remember her name... but she had an eastern European accent. I felt as though she always took great care with my Mom, making sure she was comfortable and looked after... especially when we were not there.

My Grandma has lived here for over 3 years and loves the staff. She has always received excellent treatment from everyone there and if there is an issue the staff always takes care of her needs promptly. I want to give a special thanks to the kitchen staff that always provides excellent food. Way to go Sierra Del Sol keep up the good work.

The staff at Sierra Del Sol are great to work with. They are very knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant to work with. They go out of their way to make sure the residents are in a clean environment, comfortable and enjoying their home. I highly recommend checking the place out if you or anyone in your family is looking for a senior living residence.
