Mindsource Centre: Streitfeld Stephen V MD

Dr Streitfeld is amazing. I have seen multiple psychiatrists over the past 10 years, been misdiagnosed and perscribed dozens of medications that did not work. Dr Streitfeld took time to listen before making any suggestions. We then made decisions on how to slowly adjust my meds. Now, for the first time in over 15 years, I am stable and healthy. I am so grateful to have found a doctor as kind, caring and knowledgeable as he is.

I have enjoyed seeing Dr. Streitfeld and he has done nothing but help me since I began going to him. He always tries to understand what I am dealing with so he can prescribe the right amount of what I need. I have improved SIGNIFICANTLY since I started seeing him. The staff who work there have always been very kind too. I would definitely recommend This center.

I found Dr. Streitfeld from a list of in network providers from my insurance company. Give his questionable reviews I was hesitant to schedule an appointment. However, he is one of the few psychiatric providers accepting patients. It took about a month to get a "new patient" appointment. His receptionist is very kind, professional and organized. Unlike most psychiatry appointments, he is interested in a full set of vital signs. He keeps an on-time schedule. I arrived early for my second appointment and he began our session 15 minutes early. In my experience, that is unheard of. He was an excellent advocate against the insurance company when they refused to cover a prescribed medication. He is personable and has a good sense of humor. He is has a no-nonsense approach to psychiatry and is thorough with his assessments. If you are looking for a blank prescription pad, go elsewhere. If you are searching for a quality psychiatrist who genuinely cares for his patients, then I would recommend Dr. Streitfeld.
