Melody's Piano Studio

Ms. Melody is the perfect piano teacher for my young, creative, active students! She is deeply invested in each child as a whole person and understands how to patiently bring out the best in them through music. Drawing upon her many years of wisdom and teaching experience, Melody knows exactly how to make kids look forward to their lessons by adding games, apps, and incentives to traditional repertoire! My children jump happily into the car (or onto Zoom!) when it’s time to visit Ms. Melody, and they love participating in fun workshops and performances with their studio friends. As a parent with a B.A. in Music from UA, I am consistently impressed with Melody’s harmonious balance of serious study and joyful music-making. We are loving our experience with Ms. Melody, and your family will, too!

I have three sons who all took lessons from grade school through high school with Melody. First and foremost Melody is wonderfully skilled as a pianist. As a teacher she is without equal. Her patience, kindness, enthusiasm and love for piano always made lessons a pleasure for my sons. My oldest son played piano, then guitar, flute, banjo, eukele and violin. He joined choir in high school and continued singing with adult choirs. His musical training helped him with his math skills and performing in Melody’s recitals made him a confident public speaker and performer. My younger sons also benefitted enormously from Melody’s Lessons. Both boys math skills improved dramatically, to the extent that they both won full college scholarships and majored in fields that have them both successfully and gainfully employed. Both boys sang in choir throughout high school and my middle qualified for and sang with the state high school choir and was invited to sing with his university choir. All of their experiences with Melody helped to put them at ease in public situations. All three of my sons do very well in the interview process because they have been speaking and performing all through school. Melody encourages her students, she does not pressure them. Her recitals are fun not stressful and even the shyest of children find their confidence in her lessons. I think the world of Melody, I took piano from a truly marvelous woman when I was a child and I believe my sons experience with Melody was equally wonderful. Piano lessons are so good for children, especially with a teacher like Melody.

If her name, Ms. Melody, doesn't convince you that she was born to be a piano teacher...let me just confirm that she is phenomenal in every sense of the word. She loves children and is very accommodating to each child's needs. She wants kids to love and enjoy their piano experience! She is patient, compassionate and has all the characteristics and quality you are looking for in a piano teacher. We love her!

Mrs. Melody is a wonderful piano teacher. My two children and I are blessed to have her in our music journey. Mrs. Melody is very patient with my children. She shows grace and compassion. She is eager to take time to understand their struggles. Her patience brings out the best results with my children. She also brings both fun and seriousness to their lessons. You can tell, she loves teaching piano and taking extra pride and care, which makes her highly distinguished teacher. I also love taking lessons from her. She teaches adult class as well.

Our son has been working with Melody for 8 years, his skills have bloomed. Melody is kind, sweet and a fantastic teacher! We now consider her an honorary member of the family! Not only has she taught our son the elegant mechanics of playing piano she has also taught him the theory behind its inspiration. A well rounded experience and nurturing teaching environment!
