I found Old Pueblo Acupuncture when I suffered from a paralyzed vocal cord, and the ENT had no good answers, or solutions. As a teacher, I needed to find a solution to my problem ASAP.

The people at Old Pueblo worked me into their schedules and, I felt, shared my urgency in trying to resolve my paralyzed vocal cord. They explained what they were doing thoroughly, tried various techniques, and gave me samples and suggestions of natural remedies that might also help. Their knowledge in the use of vitamins, minerals, and natural supplements far surpasses my general doctor’s advice and suggestions.

After weekly, then bi-weekly sessions for a couple months, my voice is back to normal!! What could have taken nine months or longer, was completely healed in five months and the process had to have been expedited by the treatment I received there. I am grateful for each and every person in this establishment.

After working with a Master Accupuncturist in Dallas for nearly a year who is from Mongolia/Tibet and is going to retire soon, I didn't think I could find someone so well-trained and was contemplating if I needed to go back to Dallas. I was amazed to stumble upon Old Pueblo and find such old world wisdom in Sena. I have been dumbfounded to say the least in realizing that Sena is on par with if not better and more holistic than the Monglolian/Tibetan master lady who I previously saw (who was basically word of mouth and very hard to find in Dallas). Sena is extremely professional, kind and precise in her treatments looking at a multi-dimensional view of the patient's energy systems. I have been grateful for her vision on the various interlocking energy subsystems - muscular, skeletal, energetic, and diet that she masterfully brings to the table. I have been going to Sena for several years and have always been astonished at how well she helps me heal from injuries and pain, but this last January, my visit to her produced an amazing result in a different way.
I was having a routine treatment for arthritis in the wrists, when she asked me many questions about other issues I might have, and managed to pull information out of me about severe bronchitis and a constant dry cough that I had for the last several years but had never mentioned before because I assumed that It was irrelevant to an acupuncturist. She informed me that there was a non-prescription product called Oregano oil, that could be inhaled by adding it to boiling water, that it was antibacterial, and that it could possibly cure my bronchitis. (and it was only about 14 dollars) Well, within three and a half weeks of using it, I felt like I had been reborn! I had gotten so used to living with my ailment that I hadn’t really noticed that I couldn’t take a full breath, but after my lungs were cured, when I would inhale they felt like large bellows, and the wheezing and rattling was completely gone. My breathing actually felt peaceful, I also felt a surge of energy and I realize now that the reason I had quit working out and hiking was because my muscles weren’t getting enough oxygen to fuel a workout. I had always felt weaker since I had the ailment but had assumed it was just old age and lack of motivation. I never went to a doctor because I knew they would just prescribe an inhaler and had known several people to use them with little benefit and great expense, so I kinda just thought I would wait until it went away on its own.
I hadn’t paid much attention to my poor health, but Sena paid attention and motivated me to heal myself. When I tested positive for COVID on April 11th, and was asymptomatic except for a high fever, I realized how important monitoring my health is and how my quality of life could depend on it. Now I hike all the time and am working out again and feel like a dynamo every day.
The simple thing she did makes me feel like I’m living a new life, and I am so very grateful. A healer like Sena who actually cares about the well being of humanity is a gift to this world!

Went to Old Pueblo last week, out of blue, while visiting a friend in Tuscon and man, one of the best decisions I have ever made. I’ve professionally worked with doctors, physical therapists, and acupuncturists in the past and I knew I found a hidden gem the moment I saw Sena work. She is so knowledgeable, incredibly intuitive, and simply a joy to be around above all. I wish she was based in Chicago because I’d get treatments from her at least once a week. Just brilliant.
