I had the fortune to try the food at Jimmy's on a recent Thursday evening. From the outside, the restaurant looks rather non-descript, but you have to be careful because you could easily overlook a gem of a restaurant based on appearance alone. The inside is small, but cozy. There is a small bar area next to where orders and pickups occur. The dining room is L-shaped and has somewhat limited seating. As I said, it's cozy, warm, and has a New York vibe to it. The walls have old photos of NYC and I found the place quite comfortable.
Now, for the food. I ordered two medium pizzas: the Southwest Heat and the Jersey Shore, along with an order of (free) garlic knots. The knots were rather large and came with marinara sauce. It's hard to screw up knots, but I wish these had a bit more garlic flavor to them. Both pizzas were quite good. The Southwest Heat has a very nice level of heat to it. The Jersey Shore pizza is a sauce-less seafood pizza and I think they did a rather good job with that one.
I will definitely dine here again. The staff were also friendly and helpful. So, overall, if you want an NYC pizza vibe in Tucson, Jimmy's is a good place to visit. Gotta love those little culinary gems that you find!
The chicken rancher pizza and the mushroom ravioli are my favorite (and I don't even really like mushrooms). This place is my go-to for pizza -- it's not soggy (but also not over-baked).
Jimmy’s pizza delivered a delicious (still warm) pizza to us at Lowe’s Ventana resort. Clear communication on delivery and they even thought of plates and forks! Thanks so much. Delicious pizza for football night!
Their chicken parm hero is A M A Z I N G! I would eat it every day for lunch if I could. The garlic knots are delicious as well. I haven't had a bad pasta yet and their salads are always fresh. They also make a great italian soda.
