Superstition Mountain - Lost Dutchman Museum

What a cool museum and super friendly staff. We enjoyed touring the dog friendly indoor museum along with walking the grounds. We will definitely be back and this will be a regular stop when we have company visiting.

I am giving it 5 stars because of few things; it's free, has some great views, lots of real things from the past, quaint church that was featured in one of Elvis's movies and doesn't pretend to be too touristy like the other one down the road. Didn't go into the museum.

Interesting stories about lost gold and mine (probably mind as well).
Beautiful views, very close to ghost town and other spots to eat.
The ore mill still works! Only Thursdays 1 pm and Saturdays 11:30 am

10$ Day parking is very close to the trail to the mountains. There are restrooms and power in them. There is a water spigot outside the restrooms. Plenty of picnic tables under some shade. A bunch of mountain biking trails! The hike is a short distance up to the mountains.👍🏻

Well preserved historic museum. Museum has picnic spot and ample parking area. The museum is spread across outside and inside the visitor center. One must walk around to witness the old equipments used during old mining days. Highly recommend while one is around apache junction.
