“My husband and I moved into an apartment in Brookdale Apache Junction about three months ago. I find that we are much more comfortable and happy than we were when living in a house in the suburbs. It is great to have all our meals served to us restaurant style in a dining room, with no preparation nor cleanup required of us. There are always several choices of entree, vegetables, etc. Soup and dessert are offered with lunch and dinner. I like a lot of vegetables, and there are several of them that are cooked from fresh that are offered every day. I frequently get more than one. Overall, the menu is high quality, varied, and tasty. We no longer have to care for a house because we have our apartment cleaned and our linens changed weekly. Repairs and maintenance are provided by Brookdale. A big plus of living here is the opportunity to socialize with the other residents and the very friendly staff. Unlike in some care facilities, the staff here treats us like social equals, and makes a good effort to learn everyone’s name. I enjoy attending events such as “Brain Boosters,” craft classes, and the weekly “Happy Hour” with live music and refreshments. My husband attends an exercise class and informative lectures. We got to bring our dog with us to Brookdale! She was at first distressed by all the people coming and going, but now she is settling in. She is happy to be with us, and we are happy to have her! We have both independent living and assisted living available here. My husband and I are currently in the “Independent Living” category of residents. As we require more assistance in the future, we can gradually take on assistance for our personal care. We don’t have to move and leave all our friends. There is a nearby facility if we ever need full nursing care. I am glad that so many of our concerns are taken care of in our senior years. I can relax more and enjoy every day’s small pleasures.”

“I've been coming to this MD for years! They really do have a great crew, especially in the drive- thru! They usually get really busy, but the staff does a good job keeping up. I don't really like it too much when they have you move out of the drive-thru to wait for your food every single time. I think it's rude because it's my turn and I paid my money like the guy behind me. Then I have to wait for someone to notice my order and bring it to my car. They are not always on it either because it is busy inside too. (It was just a dbl cheese burger) It's not like it's going to take another 20 minutes for my cheeseburger to be cooked. It's literally another two minutes which is what, 120 seconds more? I'm willing to wait a little bit more behind someone for my food. I've worked drive-thrus in my younger years and mine was one of the fastest and most accurate. Waiting 2 minutes and 35 seconds 23 minutes is the correct wait time. Five minutes is the max. It shows more value towards your customer if you don't push them out of line. I could see it happening periodically but not becoming the norm as it has at this store. They've actually asked me move when there was nobody behind me. I politely said, no I will wait since there's no one behind me and I can just leave, and the young lady looked like I just kicked her puppy or something 😂 My order was ready just a few seconds later and I said, See, now was that hard? Relax and enjoy your job! Everything is going to be alright! 🤗”

“My husband has only been there a day after a week in the hospital but so far I am happy with our choice for rehab. I think the rules have changed ,they aren’t as strict as others have said. You do need to show proof of vaccination to go to the room but no time limit.it’s very clean very well decorated for the holiday. The rooms could use updates but plenty of room and all private rooms We are home now but wanted to add that my husband was well cared for and would choose this health care center if we are ever in need of one. Nothing’s perfect so still 4+stars”
